About Us | Rohini Ross

I was born in London, England to a Sri Lankan father and an English mother. I was raised by my mother. We moved to Canada when I was seven. I had a difficult childhood, and things started to unravel for me during college. I became overwhelmed, and I would find myself incapacitated by anxiety and depression. At this time, I began practicing yoga and meditation. This opened the doorway for me to experience my divine nature. When I met Angus Ross, who would become my husband, I moved back to London, where I reunited with my father. Angus was a fashion photographer. He introduced me to the world of modeling, and despite getting a late start in the industry; I had a successful international modeling career.

I convinced Angus to move to Los Angeles in 1995. It was here I discovered the University of Santa Monica. I immediately enrolled and graduated with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and a Certificate in Consciousness, Health, and Healing. I went on to become a licensed Marriage and Family therapist, and am known for my specialization in Spiritual Psychology. I continued my studies with Michael Neill and became a Certified Transformational Coach. I also completed the Pransky & Associates Mentorship Program where I trained in the Three Principles – the teachings of Sydney Banks.

I was deeply impacted by the understanding of the Three Principles. It was a tremendous relief for me to realize I did not have to keep working on myself and striving for self-improvement. This allowed me to experience a profound level of unconditional love and self-acceptance. I saw I did not have to work at experiencing my true Self. This has positively impacted every area of my life.

I am the author of the book Marriage (The Soul-Centered Series Book 1) I was on Faculty at the University of Santa Monica from 2011 to 2016. I am a regular blogger for The Huffington Post, and Thrive Global, and founder of The Soul-Centered Series. I currently have an international coaching and training practice. In addition to the work I do with corporations, I offer workshops and work with year-long apprentices and six-month coaching clients.

I live in Topanga, CA, with Angus, who I have been married to for over 20 years, and our two teenage daughters. I love to spend time in nature, hike with my dog Niko, read, watch films, eat delicious food, and have fun with friends and family.
